Strict protocols in place
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we at Sabi Sabi developed and implemented a strict set of protocols in alignment with government regulations, and in consultation with medical experts. Since the pandemic began, our staff have constantly been trained, briefed and monitored to ensure the safety of everyone on site.
Lodge and rooms
Lodge capacity is limited as per regulations, and all guests are briefed on safety protocols upon arrival. Our private suites and all public areas have been prepared to receive guests safely without compromising on luxury or comfort. Fully-equipped suites are reserved at all times to function as isolation facilities should the need arise.
Safari and other activities
Our activities have been adjusted in alignment with COVID-19 protocols, without compromising on the quality of your safari experience. Safari groups are limited to six guests, although guests travelling together may consent to a party of eight. Hygiene packs and sanitisers are available during all safari activities.
Food experience
Dining areas have been increased to accommodate adequate social distancing. Digital menus may be viewed on your personal device to avoid guests having to touch printed menus. And as always, the storage of ingredients and preparation of food meet the strictest of hygiene standards. Kitchen hygiene and wait staff protocols are observed stringently at all times.
On-site clinician
A full-time professional clinician is available on site, and consults in conjunction with our medical doctor who was extensively involved in the development of our COVID protocols, and remains on call remotely should these services be required.

Staff and COVID
As with our guests, the safety of our staff remains our highest priority during these unprecedented times. We conduct ongoing staff training and proactive screening for early detection, with dedicated health and safety officials monitoring the situation and overseeing protocols at all times. Contractors, sub-contractors and all others associated with our sites are also screened regularly.
