Whether you drive in via road transfer or fly into our Private Airstrip or to Skukuza Airport, you get a little feeling of Africa right from the start. At first, it might all feel too much and seem like it is a lot to take in but with the friendly staff members waiting for you as you arrive and the bright smiles making you feel at home, you instantly know that you're part of the Sabi Sabi family.

As you get off the plane, your experience can start. Straight into nature as we make our way to the beauty of the four Sabi Sabi lodges. Each has their own feeling and their own special something to offer you. I often get asked which of the 4 is my favourite but in all honesty, I can only say that each one has its own appeal - Sabi Sabi is my favourite! It is all up to what you are looking to get out of your own experience.

Arriving at your chosen lodge, you are greeted with a welcome home and smiles all around as our staff are so excited to have you join our family. Comfort and friendliness are some of the most important aspects that we want to offer you during your stay with us.

The first night might be very overwhelming with new sounds but soon you'll get used to the beautiful subtle sounds that the African bushveld produces throughout the night, from hyenas cackling away to the faint roar of a lion in the distance are some of the sounds that can give you goosebumps and have you trembling with excitement for the morning game drive.

Coming to the most loved part of the experience, with our very kind and knowledgeable rangers spending most of the day with you and sharing info on not only the Big 5 but also on the smaller things that generally go unnoticed and trying to give you as we call it here at Sabi Sabi “the ULTIMATE BUSH EXPERIENCE”. We as rangers want to give you big smiles and knowledge that you couldn't even imagine you would learn and try and give you multiple reasons to come back and visit your family in Africa.

From the smallest beetles to the biggest elephant and everything in between and not leaving out the beautiful and interesting plants and trees that grow in our area, we want to show you and teach you about every aspect of what makes the bush so amazing. We worry more about the quality of your stay and not so much about the number of sightings you have.

We obviously have the Big 5 and have opportunities to view them with leopard sightings being a regular sighting the feeling of a big male lion walking past the vehicle might seem frighting but the warmth and happiness that bubbles up inside of your stomach is the best feeling in the world.

So even though it might be intimidating to take the first step and make the decision to come to Africa, your Sabi Sabi family will be with you all the way to support you and help you where we can.

Come and join our family in the bush and let us make the best memories you'll ever make.
