We are proud to introduce you to the Sabi Sabi Collection, a new brand that represents an exciting phase of exploration and growth for us. The Sabi Sabi Collection will be the home under which Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve and any future properties will be housed.
As we expand beyond our existing portfolio of lodges, the introduction of The Sabi Sabi Collection is a very natural evolution for us as a proudly South African-owned and family-run business.
Expanding Our Horizons - Sandringham Private Game Reserve
The opportunity to rehabilitate an old, neglected hunting reserve into a pristine protected ecotourism area arose through a joint venture with a longstanding Sabi Sabi guest and philanthropist. Situated in South Africa’s Limpopo province, the Sandringham Private Game Reserve will now become part of the Sabi Sabi Collection.
The 4,500-hectare reserve has long captivated our team, especially its location against the backdrop of the beautiful Timbavati River.
We have been working together with local authorities to have this natural environment proclaimed a protected area with the vision of creating an open wildlife corridor to Kruger National Park. This will enable the free movement of game across the Greater Kruger Protected Area.
With plans to build a lodge on the reserve, a crucial part of future-proofing the growing portfolio is employing and training staff to the high standard that the Sabi Sabi brand is renowned for. To this end, the Sabi Sabi Collection, together with the Sabi Sabi Foundation, will be putting additional resources into promoting opportunities and providing platforms for local community members to be exposed to and trained in the safari and luxury hospitality industry.

We are excited to be entering a phase of exploration and growth, aiming to extend Sabi Sabi’s conservation and community-led ethos, backed by over 45 years of experience, to other regions of Southern Africa. Our journey begins with the inclusion of Sandringham Private Game Reserve, where our focus remains the rehabilitation of a magnificent piece of wilderness to the level, we believe would be best suited for a wildlife and an eco-tourism offering we pride ourselves in. These platforms will offer regular updates on wildlife sightings, as we continue the important work of rehabilitating the reserve, ahead of constructing the lodge/camps.
